you can unlock this one as T2 together with a AVRE

i think youre planning to give it tank shock and mineplow back (not sure if it has em now, but it didnt)

but what i care about is that this tank gets a sherman gun instead of the 6lbr the t1 churchill get.

costs for this tank is 80 fuel extra... for a gun upgrade??

since when do those cost fuels? change this unit to gun upgrade for t1 churhil like sherman upgun plz....

Makes more sense to make it a muni upgrade imo

Possibly because with a better gun, it can more fully take advantage of being a Churchill tank, whereas the MkIV advantages are largely ruined by the useless main weapon.  The MkIV is cheaper than a Cromwell IIRC.

Correct me if I'm wrong but, doesn't the Churchill gun and Sherman gun now have the same accuracy due to the recent patch? So the only difference I'm guessing is the penetration percentages against axis armor.

Heh.  No wonder i've been thinking the MkVI's combat performance is only a little better than the MkIV for a lot higher price.

The penetration increase from MKIV to MKVI is only about 4%.

wasnt the plan to give it better armour too? it still sounds quite ridiculous though, since the churchill already is the best armoured tank the allies have. this tank needs a change!

Yea, so they made the IV useful and the VI crap by making the IV better, hilarious.

There were many variants of churchills. You have a lot to go off of.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Churchill_tank

The churchill V would be an interesting replacement for the VI. It has a 95mm howitzer gun, so it'd be like a Stuh with a weaker gun and better armor (Stuh = 105mm gun), which would make it a great assaulting vehicle but unlike the croc and avre, it can't do much damage vs tanks (the AVRE shell can mess up a tank)

In fact, according to this article
http://freespace.virgin.net/chris.shillito/a22new/articles/95mm/index.htm

the 95mm was supposed to be a mirror of the Stuh 42.
http://coh-stats.com/Weapon:105mm_StuH

I say give it about 92 dmg, just over the normal 87.5 of all 75mm guns, a 40 range (stuh = 45) a slightly less reload (7-6 instead of 8-7) and keep the rest the same, maybe lower the penetration levels (stuh does .5 penetration vs panthers but 100% vs panthers in skirts o.O) current is .8/.9./1.0, so maybe .6/.7/.8 would work. well so its not  that good vs tanks but can still do some damage and also hurt light vehicles...IF it hits lol

Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.

Yeah the churchill 95mm version would be good.  Make it RE only to add a bit more uniqueness to that doctrine too maybe?

Mk VI gun has much better splash than the Mk IV gun.

how can they make the VI crap by not changing it? Maybe they made the MKIV to good for its price compared to MKVI

well what i mean is, why buy the mkvi when u get pretty much the same from the mkiv? yea more splash meaning more kills per hit but does it really matter? More times than not ur gonna take out 1 guy anyway

The MKVI was worth it at its current price before the MKIV buff, it's not going to be cheaper just because the MKIV is worthwhile again.

If anything we might adjust MKIV pricing.

The only thing that was changed on the Mk IV was that it no longer takes a 50% accuracy reduction when firing at Infantry on the move.
