Okay, new bug with Precision Strike.... half the time now the smoke isn't appearing for us allies.  Me and SD were watching as we were both hit my precision strikes but yet no smoke is coming.  Ended up losing a triage center and he lost a bunch of airborne to a direct hit...

I think that is with every artillery. At least i can confirm that for Captain arty aswell. I once got hit by it, without seeing smoke.

It's not poor play when you can't even see the smoke. Don't you axis guys remember when you all bitched about 'strafing run' and how it got smoke and a delay added so you could react?  When there is no fighting going on and you don't even see the smoke when you're looking right at your triage and get your guys gibbed due to lack of a visual cue, there's a big problem there.

This is true, i dont know why they blow up howitzers in one shot now, they dident use to do that. But thats no reason to start saying to take out PS just make it too where it need 2 hits or something.

This statement is just ridiculous.

It's not balanced when a tier 1 offmap utterly destroys an artillery piece that costs as much as a howitzer with no chance of escape.  

It'd be like if the 105mm support barrage magically made nebels stay still and always destroyed them.   We don't need offmaps to come and make onmap artillery useless again.
Well man, wouldn't it be better to just lower the damage output somehow to decrew howies instead of destroying it? Taking it out is little too much.

That's actually relatively easy to do.  One firestorm rocket will decrew an weapon team but will not destroy the weapon like the current precision strike.

The fire combined with the rocket hit will do maybe half damage to the howitzer/57mm or whatever.   

The airplane idea is also doable btw.  We'd have to use the henshel or something though.   Now there's an idea, a henshel run firing a couple of HE shells with good accuracy, probably fits a lot better with blitz and look a lot better than a single random rocket dropping out of nowhere lol. Tongue

Precision strike is only 1 shot, but it still has the regular howitzer shoot smoke and time delay. Mine drifts sometimes and it's only useful against people who use retarded blobs of stuff or single at guns/tanks.

Yeah I'm not asking for it to be removed, just tone the damage down a bit where it doesn't instant-wtfpwn nuke the equipment too, infantry still die regardless.
