What's the reasoning behind this?

Because tbh, it's bogus. In a doctrine where the infantry pool is always drained after 5ish airborne squads, the AB sniper then takes an additional 6 out of that pool?

All other snipers take out of the Support pool including the Commando sniper which can be spammed to a far better effect than the AB sniper could ever be.

This deserves a change, it should take out of the Support pool like every other sniper.

Unit stat sheet says it's supposed to be taken out of support pool.
