I think it needs a price increase. It is the only non-super heavy tank able to ignore an ATG, just roll up to it and roast it. Killing it, especially when hulled down, is nearly impossible, again ATGs bounce like crazy. The FU cost should be increased, allowing for only a few of them in a company, or the HP/Armour should be decreased, allowing you to actually kill the thing.
The reason it raped me is properly that im not a very good player. But still, to me it seemed that a panther was the only counter to it. StuG's and P4's simply does not cause enough damage. Schrecks and PaKs get utterly raped by it.
It seems unbalanced that all you need in a company is 4-5crocs, 8 ATGs, a few tommies with brens to avoid ppl rushing your ATGs, and you are good to go.

You have to count in that Croc users allies have ATGs on the field as well.

I always get told to shoot it with tanks.. sure, my p4 will only use 10 shots to kill it, if they penetrate.

i guess it is a bit overpowered. only panters marders and LV spam kill it.
but if you are gonna nerf it, also set back the abilty to target the main gun instead of the flamethrower.
if a 50mm spam or clown car is coming for you, and you order the croc to shoot the car, the tank turns and shoots its flame at the car.
its main gun however, just keeps shooting at some grenadiers.
please revert the main gun to the normal gun instead of the flamethrower. this is a big reason why clown cars are so strong vs it.
youll still be able to fire the flame perfectly at enemies anyway coz you can just point its front to the enemy and the area of effect flame will kill everything in front.

You can only have 4 crocodiles in a company, maximum.
They cost 330 FU each - 5 would cost 1650 FU. Maximum fuel even before the fuel nerf was 1625 - now it is 1500 FU.
That being said, at 330 FU and 13 pop the croc does still seem to be somewhat over the top.
It has 900 health base, with churchil armor(I would rate that at roughly StuG armour), which makes it quite survivable, the 6 pounder allows it to retain it's anti-vehicle capability, whereas the flamethrower is, without a doubt, the absolute best in the game.
To all extents and purposes - the churcil croc is to infantry what a panther is to tanks : the near-best tracked solution.
I would propose a further increase to 350 FU and 14 pop.
Why I do not propose to raise it more than that is quite simple : a lot of the controversy over the churchil croc comes from hull down, which is, quite frankly, OP.
0.75 received damage and penetration modifiers at a T2? Well yeah, they're only applied to the unit while it is in hulldown mode : but hulldown mode is entered instantly - the animation is there just for show. The bonuses are instantaneous. Not only that, hulldown has absolutely no cooldown. Meaning that hulldown not being used is the user's own being noobish.
Say what you will, but the ability to raise your croc's health from 900 to 1200, on top of a received penetration boost at any time you want is just OP for a T2.
Not only that - infantry around the hull-down tank receive bonuses to their survivability as well.
I propose granting a 3-5 second delay until the bonuses are applied and a 10 second cooldown(so you can't exit hulldown for 10 seconds after you press the button, can't re-enter it for 10 seconds after you leave it).

And that comparison is fairly moot, because 700 fuel would be absolute and utter overkill.
I mean, they pay something like 300 fuel for the Mk 4 churchil(As in, as it is in vCoH, without any of the buffs we tried to make the darn thing useful).

They are frightful yes...but not OP. You defently need good tactics and team work to take it out. It also benefits hugely from not dealing with stickies. Hull down its strong but the flamer which is its main attribute can only fire thru the front.

yeah 700 is too much but 330 really is not much. 13pop isnt either.
i suggest a popcap increase to 14po and a fuelcost increase to 380-400fuel but thats kinda old, i mentioned this months ago afaik

Pak - pray tell, what unit that's affected by the churchil flamethrower is actually fast enough to flank it, without the churchil un-hulling and re-hulling down to continue pouring flames?

i dont know if it should be nerfed. i mean my usual counter to everything is pak-p4. and your not going to charge a church croc into a pak and a p4. and its all about luck with the flame vs Pak.
We've all seen Paks insta died to the flames, but we've also seen paks just take the flames while putting out shots nearly killing the thing.
so i dunno yet

If you know it's VS a Churchill croc try and get the Pak in water/Negative cover or Open cover at least. that will keep you alive to damage it. Pretty sure upgunned Hotckhiss does good on these things Fausts do 170/hit. P4's are something like 70-80% penetration? heck I think even stugs are 55 or 60

u usually cannot fight a church croc with a tank since an ATG is always backing it up because it a slow tank (atg crawl behind the croc)
the only things you try to avoid are paks but there cant be paks everywhere

P4s suck. I had to finally drop em to get a Panther. So far with Panther and Stormie Combo any fucking tank will die....ANY. But yeah Croc did force me to get a panther since i really cant depend on team mates having a hard counter for it all the time.

for some reason panther sucks to me,but I probably just use it wrong,and never get it's points back,unlike 50mm which actually kill tanks and shit compared to panther...stupid piece of shit gets himself killed almost every time,and usually fails to kill anything :p
