So, i posted this in the last teams thread I did, but thats now 2 pages buried so im reposting it so we all know.

I was talking with Ami, the host of SNF and this is what he had to say to me when I was trying to hammer out a date.

Quote
Hey there. SNF is booked on May 9 for tourney reps. That will be SNF #10. TBH I'm not quite sure if I'll keep running it after that. I might wanna take a break for a while... call that Season 1 or something. Or perhaps pass it on to some other organizer.

So, i dont know where this leaves us in terms of us getting an on air large audience broadcast.

Ami was pretty much the guy we were working with, and if he goes, either SNF dies, or they no longer have a real commitment to give us an SNF.

Which means were pretty much fucked, and I have no idea what to do except to let this marinate and see if SNF is getting continued by anyone.

Also, depending on how OMG SNF does, they might not want us if it's a low audience turn out, if they continue the show.

So, idk, that's where we are. Just thought you all should know.

Now bear makes his own funny thread. It's unsurprisingly not funny.

Alternatively, you post a date on GR for the exact same thing - you just ditch the third party members. If anything its positive that we lost Amipolizei. He was the hair in the shower closet, the obnoxious hairy spot on the silverback ape's butt, the snot in the back of your nose you couldn't remove no matter how much you blew.

Send him flowers from me too

Idk bout that, smokaz.

Im not known in the GR sphere of shoutcasters. Not like Cadmus and Fatal Saint. They actually have a GR audience they can exploit, whereas we pretty much need a venue like SNF, and top players for anyone to care at all.

I know...

Gotta make it so that my Vidcasts can be put on GR.

They have copyrighted music in them, which is a no-no.

nah he's into the whole shoutcast thing, when he grabs the mike he thinks he's Don King and starts queuing up 10 plays of eye of the tiger in his media player, just ask him i'll bet he will do it.

the handy thing about Fatal Saints casts are that they are HQ quality so everything looks really well, buts hes only done 5

Just have good players known on gr, so people are more likely to watch the replays, play games untill you have a good one. Post that on gr, and just keep doing that. People watch SNF cuz its supposed to be high skilled players, players people know, people dont want to see some noobs they never heard of, not in vcoh replay and certainly not in a mod they dont play.
They will watch the vidcast cuz of the players in it, not becuz of the mod. If they think its a gg, which it should be, they might consider trying out the mod. Only they will face another barrier of figuring out how this all works, there must be 1 video out there, explaining everything, from start to finish, with commentary.

We can't have two teams with GR.org players, skaffa. There are two meaningful brackets to pick from, EIRR players and EIRR players that are also known on GR.org, and it needs to be recently know or still known in the last group. Unless someone feels like teaching all the COH masters over at EIRR how to play this mod and then organizing the teams. Do you volunteer, skaffa?

I'm also inclined to agree with Lai here. Our shoutcasting shouldnt halt or slow down because of GR.org SNF. They will enjoy receiving shoutcasts of EIRR if said shoutcasts are of high quality and the action/premise of the mod is throughly explained.

It doesnt have to be set teams at all, I dont care who plays, as long as there are lik 2 players in it so people recognize them and think 'hey I might watch it'.
And im not talking about just 1 replay.

Get a game going this weekend, so groundfire can start this process.

Get a 2v2 up between a combination of these players:

Skaffa (I presume you are still cool over at GR)
Cann0nball (same?^)
Keeps (All PR are good PR)
snoop

potter and snoop vs skaffa and keeps, done deal. you have until sunday night american time (the latest point in time this weekend you can expect american groundfire to get on) to get it played

I have always considered throwing up my vidcasts on GR, but I was waiting until i get  my new processor so recording the videos wouldnt kill my PC. I should be able to get a quad core in a week or 2.

But if you guys want this started now, get me the replay and it will be on GR by the weekend.

Someone should put in on the main page, in big red letters.

Cannonball, snoop, keeps and skaffa please get together this weekend and play a *good* 2v2 for PR purposes. Make sure you post the replay sometime sunday, american time, so groundfire gets it.
