I've been watching some vids of it at MODDB.
I dont get this, it looks exact same as EiR.

Or am i wrong..?

yes its basically the same just without doctrines or a launcher.

EiR was the original. the founder of that decided to discontinue it's production/use. Someone stepped forward with a coherent plan to continue EiR in the form of EiR:R. Some community members were sore over the decision and during a questionable period of time bad stuff happened and a group of players started to create OMG.

The way i personally view it is EiR:R is a community mod. driven by the community for the community. It is fairly liquid when it comes to changes and development. OMG seems more like a program shared amongst friends with no real direction or drive. It simply exists in a mostly solid form.
