Where did you try to install it to?

Make sure you install to  : \Steam\steamapps\common\company of heroes

I dont understand, it seems steam users have much more trouble getting eir to work.
is there actually more steam users need to do to get eir working? -if so, there should be a stickied thread on technical support that deals with steam users.

what does the installer do? do you have to link your coh install folder yourself or does it do that automatically?

one thing is sure: the technical support forum section needs another stickied thread that deals with all eir install problems, just like the game troubleshooting thread.

Solution is when you click the directory only click:
...\Steam\steamapps\common\

Solved.. it will automatically select the Company of Heroes folder within 'common'.

Yeah, CoH is in a different directory than normal under steam.  Otherwise, I didn't have any issues when I installed EiR under steam...
