if you dont have enought ammo to equip your stug with everything,repair is a must...and have to choose between mg and skirts,what would you rather pick?
since withouth mg it does shit to inf.
skirts only help against zook,RR hitting you on side or other things?

You must have skirts. between 2 doctrines with zook rifles, 1 with rangers, another with airborne, all brit players with Piats, 1 brit doctrine with boys at rifles you NEED skirts, otherwise you will die.

yeah, skirts decrease % of damage and penetration for inf AT weapons against tank (in vCoH its about 25%, dont know about EiRR).

MG42 as it is the best MG in tanks- after all it is a Assault gun that dies to 3 ATG shots...so skirts are optional

Skirts, no contest. The MG helps at suppression, but if you're dead - no ammount of suppression will save you.

I'd go with the hmg because most of the time you're going to be hit by tanks and atg's if you have a stug, and zooks pretty much dont penetrate and if you're going against RR's, all it takes away is one shot, but i'd rather suppress the buggers so they can't shoot me.

suppresion seems more useful,since you dont go alone,and you have easier time killing them with your troops if they are supressed...alone stug,is usually dead one...

Skirts for sure, the StuG is primarily an AT weapon anyway.

I'd scrap something else in the company (a medkit or two) to get both.

Depends on your playstyle and company.  The safe bet is skirts, but if you think you have enough support for it, the MG is insanely good.

10% less damage from tanks isn't going to make a difference one way or another on a low hp high armor tank like the stug, and recoiless will rape you regardless of skirts.  Zooks is the only thing that skirts only really matters against.

Piats will rape a stug skirts or not.  Skirts dont even reduce penetration vs them, so you're better off eating the first volley and suppressing them and running them over.

I would take mg. But on P4 skirts for sure.
