I just unlocked heavy support and played a 1v1 vs panda testing it out. The HE rounds on the pack do hardly any damage at all to infantry and very little damage to tanks. In fact it does more damage vs the tanks then it does to the infantry. The amount of damage it does to infantry is very little to not noticeable at all. It is also highly inaccurate so my conclusion is this ability does not work as it should right now. I would think that this would do high damage like a stuh round or the ist flame round which would be totally worth it. The ability is a great idea but it needs to be looked into. I don't think it is not working as intended.

uhh HE is not meant to give pak any strenght vs infantry, pak is only Anti tank weapon remember? This ain't Men of War

Ability is working correctly. It has basically 0 penetration against tanks, is not supposed to be used against infantry.
Normal penetration against light vehicles with 150 damage.

How many shots does it take to kill light vehicles with the HE shell? Paks already do a lot of damage to them..

lol he just said it does 150 dmg vs light vehicles, thats' what you use it on. It's an extra boost of a shot vs light vehicles.
the pak normally does 115 damage, couple that with the 1st strike bonus and you can hit for 187.5 damage, that's a pretty dang good light vehicle killer.

dont be ridiculous tym. vet3 ATGs do 210 dmg. vet3+ tank reaper ATGs do 270 damage.

huh? how am i being ridiciulous. that's a lot of damage for the pak to hit with and seeing as the pak always hits on the 1st hit, that's a guaranteed 180 dmg as opposed to the 57mm missing shots even with TR

180 damage vs a light vehicle as apposed to higher pen+ damage+ acc vs everything. This ability doesn't look to powerful on paper, maybe its because of OP tank reapers for what they get.

lulz @ op tank reapers. it makes zooks as good as schrecks in dmg but not in penetration cuz zooks still bounce frontal shots but it does help atg's the most
also, heavy support affects all support weapons, its not an AT upgrade, it's a support weapon upgrade and light vehicles are the bane of a heavy support company (as well as arty)

Oh btw has anyone noticed once you activate the ability you cannot move the pak anymore? very annoying.

+1 It seems like the possibility to fail increases way more than the payoff of the ability (i.e forgetting to turn it off and fail to damage a charging sherman)

omg why are you focusing on the he just as the t4, it's a multi-leve tier 4 that affects hmgs, mortars, snipers and paks. its not meant to make the pak more of a tank killer, it's meant to give you new stuff for those who like support spam.

Because the topic of this thread is specifically addressing the 'HE rounds' of that T4. If the shell is crap, which it sounds like it is, then this addition is pretty much 'nothing' compared to what it was before it was added, being the elite crew with MP44, Focus Fire and sniper/mortar buff.
Now an interesting idea I just thought of, being this is 'terror' and its 'heavy' support... what about giving AP shells or something to make it a heavier pak gun compared to normal wehr company paks? Since some people seem to be complaining of the pak's low damage against 57mms, 57mms with AP, and 57mm with TR AP?

I have no idea what you're talking about. The pak special shot is on top of all the buffs it had before. And if you consider being able to two shot T17s "crap"...
