I'm joining an airsoft club when I'm in england. To prepare for the incoming zombie apocalypse, ofc - not because it's fun. God forbid - fun is a sin, and we should all repent for it, as the end is coming!

Zombie apocalyspe will arrive ! We must be ready for the maya zombie invasion in 2012 !

EDIT - A quick perusal of Wikipedia lists the maximum legal muzzle-energy of an airsoft gun in the US to 1.35 Joules, giving Germany a touch under a third less. If you took your gun to Germany, Salan, assuming it was the maximum power it could be in the US, it would then shoot at around 300 fps.

In Russia we have centralized community with accepted rules:
660 FPS for spring sniper rifles
530 FPS for muchineguns
490 FPS for automatic rifles
390 FPS for CQB

i mean the average human is not quite honest.
and i am no longer shocked about it.

As i say we have centralized community, which controlling incoming new teams, testing them for honest. That community organize big games with "face control" for teams. For example opening a season 2009 in Moscow - samething about 1500 players.

Though I do wonder where the heck Russians get those vehicles from...

Same times community rent a military vehicles or even military ground for big games.
For example my last game was a week ago 72 hour game on a military ground (400 players).

Are you doing zombie hunt in Russia?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=STJVLNa9aYg

really no. look this video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hmaumLr3FTs
Its hand made nade with petard and peas. All airsofters in Russia use same nades.
One dude few mouth ago was in jail for that nades. Our police is insane.

yeah, u r right. for most players its just a game. but as a phisical and will training its an awesome (for big games of course). standard traversed distance for 24 hour game on 3-4 km ground is 15-20 km on a rugged terrain and sun, rain with insects. And u must still play. My friend wisit this - http://www.berget-events.com/. And they say that its a big different beetwin russian airsoft (we call it Strikeball btw lol) and europe airsoft. In Berget its much more camping elements with airsoft fun, in soviet russia its airsoft without camping at all -  24 game have 2 stages - day and night and most players play all 24 hours.

What I am implying, if you did not pick up on it, is that War is "the real sport with guns". You are trying to say how paintball is superior to airsoft because paintball, apparently, takes "real skills", yet as you say, airsoft is a lot more similar to real war than paintball is. Are you also suggesting that paintball is harder than really fighting people to the death? Paintball is further down the chain from "hard" than airsoft is. It is challenging, but it is not challenging on the same level. Paintball is challenging the way baseball is challenging, but baseball has nothing on a bar fight with an aluminum bat involved just like paintball has nothing on a fight with real guns involved. I did not think I would have to spell out my point like this.

It is because you said this that Im just gonna end this right now.

Mal, you are so uneducated on the subject I dont know where to even start, and its not worth my time to explain it all to you in a thread battle.

This is stupid and ignorant. You think that just because airsoft simulates a war environment, that it is harder? Rolling around in the woods, shooting at a barely visible target?

Let me tell you something, in real competition paintball, the kind that you see on TV, your locked into an arena the size of a basketball court, 10 guys are firing their guns at 30+ balls per second, and nearly everyone is dead in 5 minutes.

It is more like fighting to the death than you will get any place else. If your not a ninja by trade, you will walk outta that place with a new hair color. You are wrong. Paintball is exactly that

There's a youtube video floating around somewhere of me destroying the local SWAT team in a game of paintball. If you want me to, ill will find it and send you the link but tbh, your absolutely one of those people that would say "you have a mask on, idk that it's you or if this video is even involves local SWAT members, they just look like dudes in camo" and would just deny it up and down b/c you just like to argue.

airsoft and paintball are completely different beasts, and they are both equally
hard for their respective play styles.

Stop trying to directly compare them.

There is no War>Airsoft>Paintball shit, no fuck that, they are too different. I never said which one was harder, you implied that I did.

The only thing i wanted to make known is that Paintball is a televised sport. Airsoft doesnt get televized. They both involves guns and thats where the comparison stops.

15-20km isn't bad at all. I do that with 60lbs easily. It's when you get into the 35-40km area with weight that it sucks. If you've got nothing but a lightweight weapon and lightweight ammo it's a different story. I could walk in circles for days at a time like that. I'm sure it's great fun playing the game but it does nothing for me unless it leaves my enemy whimpering on the ground. When I win I want the spoils to be my bragging rights and his dignity

I hope you make it through that. I'd like to hear if you do.

It really means nothing, i have same experience in game with professionals too. There is a main different beetwin soldier and airsofter\paintballer - players have no survival instinct and just can "zerg rush" professionals. But a say again - airsoft is a best what i can get in Russia.

Of course this 15-20 km is with all equipment and ammunition, food, water etc. It not like "I've got my AEG, im a warrior now!" lol

Russian army suck very badly for now as a power and as a social institute

yeah...and... your point is?

Obviously by mal's reasoning, they shouldve won that game hands down?

Not dissin SWAT at all. they were out of their element, but in terms of a combat simulation, they do have the experience I dont have, so they should win.

the only thing is... In a paintball game, im not afraid to die, and the SWAT didnt start using cover till half the team was already eliminated.

Edit- Oh yeah sheffer, I agree. When we start shooting real bullets at eachother, id get alittle more careful. Which is why Im trying to designate paintball as a sport and not a war game. The comparison between the two stops at the guns.

well in airsoft you can beat like anyone probably too...just camp in a bush and wait till someone passes by,bang,he's dead...

if you were in real in lets say real situation against them on normal terrain they usually operate in,with 'real guns(real kick, rof, range etc)'...but that you can't be killed...I dont think that you would stand a chance...

even in airsoft military training will help you,but in the end it doenst mean that you will automatically be  100% better than regular joe...if it was a real situation, then yeah, you probably wouldnt stand a chance against military guys...
