Actually this tier 4 is great for defensive part of luftwaffe, but 15% penetration bonus for whiberlwind just do nothing. I'v noticed that it only increases penetration vs. p47, but it doesn't change effectivnes against light vehicles (I'm not mentioning about tanks...). So I think it should be changed for signifant bonus for accuracy +10% or to reload

I don't think that's a great idea, the buffs will stack too heavily with vet and the lockdown.

Actually this will be negated by supression buffs to defense

wirblewind penetration bonus... that could seriously backfire. It is a weaker tank and if you keep it behind your other tanks for protection the only thing stopping it from ass-raping your p4 is the fact that it freindly-fire bullet spam cant penetrate.

I recommend flipping the bonus to defensive bonus like 7-10% less incoming accuracy or 15-40% less penetration (dont know what number will effect a change, since Armour is quite low to start with)

Try shooting M10's in the ass as they come in to kill a team mates tank. People discount the Wirble as a damage dealer in armoured engagement but it actually does al ot of dmg to any tanks rear armor. I've killed M10's and shermans with it

wirlbe actually does quite alot of dmg. i once fought a captured flakvierling with my wirblewind and way before the crew died the entire gun already blew up.

its not useless. it shows how much dmg wirlbe does. so if it penetrates a tank it will do dmg too.

What he's trying to get at though, If you're using Wibels on tanks, you're doing something wrong :/

Because 6 percent chance of penetrating the rear armour of an M10 is ever so worthwhile. And even then - only at short range ;P.

Medium range features a 0.71 pen modifier and long range 0.15.

If you'll penetrate - yeah, you'll do more or less so 16 damage. That means you'll only need 25 penetrating shots to kill the M10 Tongue. I'll let you figure out how many shots in total that is on your own.

but the x1.15 pen buff increases the 6 percent to almsot 7 percent!!!! thats amazing

In Groundfires Shoutcast #9 game I had a Wirble kill a M10 and a sherman that were both trying to kill a different tank. he just didn't get it on the record.
Naturally it didn't solo them but it's damage was admirable.

They took Luftwaffe in a new direction apparently. People are still somewhat divided over whether its a piece of junk or a sensible step in a new direction.

It's a good idea with poor implementation. It attempts to force you to use a ton of different stuff through crappy half asssed buffs.

A better solution would be to pick 3-4 units in each tree to focus on, or a theme to focus on.

I went Planned Offensive. It's ok in some ways and crap in others.

Puma armor is crap, IST lockdown is crap, Focus Fire is meh, can't use it with the t3 so why even worry about it.

Would prefer a different set of buffs than those mentioned ones. Improved resistance to suppression, normal grenades available to FJ, FJ continue to gain Ambush bonus for 10 seconds after leaving cover or something. Things that lend to the idea of OFFENSE.

A unifying theme for each tree is needed though.
