We just need a goal right now. Ive already grinded 2 companies this war, so that goal is gone.

We need the warmap and a war.

I wonder if it would be possible to create another TLS campaigne while waiting for EIRRMOD to get things into gear.

That doesn't require a war, it just requires someone to take the time to do it.

Campaigns are hard to organize though, need to make sure all the match ups will be on at the same times.

It was just a campaign run by the players in place of what would be a warmap.

I dont know how it actually works cause i didnt play the last one, but i know it existed.

basically players formed divisions ie. 1st infantry, 101st airbourne 3rd Armoured etc.

These divisions played out like a campaign. so for Day 1 101st Airbourne players played only Carentan against all the 5th Terror players. Every time you played a game you submitted the final screenshot showing who won. If the axis players won more then they pushed the AB back on to the beach. If the Allied players won they moved forward to the next map (whatever that may be).

Armoured/inf fought on the beach maps first of course.

There was originally certain rules such as the AB players couldn't use any vehciles and the Wher players could only spend 200 fuel. Shit like that.

There were other scenarios and stuff. One particularly successful duo had to play 3 consecutive games without resupplying and if they won (which inexplicably they did) they got some kind of bonus (I forget what).

It was most memorable for the Ride of the Failbourne. The Airbourne players spectacularly failed and didn't win a single map. Although in their defense this was due in large part to them having no vehciles and axis players spamming mg42s and KCH.

although that didn't matter for the beach landings Tongue

Armored Div. HQ
Target: Point Du Hoc
Axis resistance en-route, will arrive at same time as landings.

I organized a jeepspam tactic for our armoured division and very few people followed it through.
but everybody that did won their games Wink
On board mechs ftw, attack move 5 jeeps on an AT gun and ouch.
Basically 20 jeeps ride in and wtf rape a ton of inf, then ht full of rifles comes in and recrews everything.
The axis in our game of course said "woo supply lines so we make tons of tanks" so we just capped the whole of point du hoc and let their p4s chase jeeps around. and that was the end of that.

Oh wow. This sounds fucking amazing Cheesy
Could some people try and make this happen again? This sounds fun as hell.
How do the companys themselves work? Like, were doctrine offmaps, advantages and stuff, or was their a mutural agreement on that only certain things from the doctrines were allowed ?

TLS.. hah wow that was fun. TLS 2 was going to be better with company templates so none of that shit we saw with the kch/mg42s/ostwinds against airborne. cuz they knew they were coming Wink

was a fun summer for myself unknown and gamerandy at that point, and was the start of the end of normal EIR which ushered in EIRR and OMG.
