To stop myself hijacking another thread further here you go

if anyone has it and wants to play let me know through here or pm me

I meant HW2, but whatever you're talking about sounds awesome :O
Any links to gameplay footage, I want to see this in action Cheesy

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o7z6Qm2uk_I Naval Battle (ships fire all weapons they have on them at the same time ex: tomahawk missles, sparrow, cannon Didn't see any Aircraft carriers landing inf by deploying LCAC's but its in the game)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O5Slshe3TDg An actual match between 2 people (after watching determined either both these guys really suck, or this was all for fraps)

Only 1 resource in the game which is money, ways to get moneys is by capturing POW's and milking thier bank accounts. Gaining control of Banks and building oil derricks and exploiting them.

(also liked how when you built vehicles you saw them being flown in)

oh and the most unique aspect is in my opinion the fact that while you have Super Weapons each side also has ways to protect themselves from them like an EM shield, Patriot Missle System but ammo must be bought for them and they only can defend a certain radius

It could, just lower the graphics settings (it had similar requs to COH)

Edit forgot about the game modes that could be played they were pretty awesome

    * Marine One Down: The Marine One Down mode is where President has to be captured. Any player who gets a unit within a certain distance gains control of the President. The objective is to move the POTUS unit to a pre-defined evacuation base at the edge of the map, with each player needing to bring the President to a different location. There is no base building in this mode; instead, players capture bunkers scattered around the map to gain reinforcements.
    * Scud launcher: The Scud launcher mode is basically the same as a regular death match game, but with a twist. All players are unable to build Tactical Weapons and Anti-Tactical weapons, but in the middle of the map is a neutral Scud launcher with a circle around it. Anyone who gets within the circle gains control of the Scud, this allows that player to fire the Scud every 2 minutes. Should the launcher be destroyed, it will explode violently, causing tremendous damage to everything within a very wide radius, which prevents players from keeping the launcher safe in their base

System requirements

Intel Pentium 4 1.5 GHz or equivalent CPU, 256 MB RAM, 7 GB hard disk, DirectX 9.0c, 128 MB video card with pixel shader support

i used to love Act of War, the books are pretty good too. Dale Brown is a great writer. His Dreamland and McLanahan series are top notch.

Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.

Have HW 2 its no where near as fun as AOW:HT

They really adjusted the combat system and spam just don't work anymore

plus nothing like not defending your island and concentrating on the mainland fighting when a Typhoon attack sub surfaces and blows your main base flat

Also seeing a single ship use sparrows to shoot down enemy fighters and missles while its front turret is supporting a landing your troops are making and firing ship-to-ship missles at the ship arround it.

Always wanted to pick up the AOW book

the game story was intense

I recommended it. There are two bigs, Act of War, which is a parallel with the game story and Edge of War, which is about an excursion on the mexican/american border. The Act of War book follows the CID units mostly you wont see much of anything else tbh but Richter and Vega are in it, as well as the Consortium, Chamberlain, Jefferson, etc the CID units are more awesome in the book than in the game lol
