its coz of the target tables. quad has 0 penetration, too low priority and no auto targetting vs aircraft armor type. criticals might be screwed up too so it cant kill (just like henschel crits are borked)

This was originally about a COH mod around air combat.
Someone suggested making them controlable on the battlefield.
I made a JOKE about about how people like to complain, and used the quad as an example
You took it seriously and called me a retard, even though you are the one on the forums who constantly whines about all units, and the only person i know who FAILS to crush with a flank speed cromwell
If the would add aircraft to the game as controlables in EIR
1. They would have to fix the quad bug
2. It wouldn't be using the standard aircraft model, but something different entirely.

Theres a mod for WIC that lets you control harriers there the only plane that would suite the sizes of coh maps

I actually cant do anything, but there's plenty of evidence to show that it could be done, if only in a rudimentary aspect.
Here's a video showing how controlable planes would function:
Here's a WB screeny of what a typical battlefield would look like:
With an hour of fiddling with the world builder, I was able to design a simple map with floating action point fog that simulates continuious flight. (Those rain drop streaks are actually ground AA tracers)
If we can adjust the planes to be controlled a tad further off the ground, I think we got ourselves a concept for a side mod.
