I use two of these snipers as well and for the most part they serve me well even without the Heavy Support T4. However I was also in that game where his terror sniper did absolutely jack shit despite taking numerous shots so I see where you're coming from but tbh I'm going to chalk it down to supremely bad lack. Perhaps the crit rate should be restored or at least increased seeing as you are playing 50 munis but the sniper seems fine as is.

Infantry is still consistently stopped in their tracks by various explosions in EiRR - including P4 shots. And it's one of the most annoying things ever.

Tanks being stuck on a building is as much a feature as infantry being scatered. Both are annoying.

I would want that my ifnantry would seek cover when nearby one instead of one staying in negative and others in heavy cover...

they are awsome when doing a attack move though

When they charge forward and duck and cover to shoot everynow and then before they continue their engagement. Assault still has it :p

Don't know if you even play allies, but it happens. Obviously it's not every single shot, but from my experience it works every 2-3 shots. It's enough to vouch for this unit being a viable option, and not 'worthless', as stated in the first post of this thread which was obviously a rage post.

To the last part of your reply, if it wasn't intended to be used, it wouldn't be in the mod now, would it? Not using it would be stupid.

It's not a question of whether the sniper was intended to be used, but a question of "what to do so that using it doesn't mean shooting yourself in the foot?".

I notice it, but I also have t4 heavy support. You notice it more with a vetted sniper, and it does help. I do think that it should cost as much as a normal sniper or just a little bit less. Maybe it can be made to do more dmg to a squad or up the suppression just a tad.
