Its not Suppression Fire. The ability hasn't been made yet so It has no stats. A Covering Fire that was supposed to be used with the Support Grenadier exists, but it won't be that one.

Its much easier to come up with stats as I'm creating and testing it than to just come up with it before hand.

It would actually be really cool to make it like covering fire, reduce enemy accuracy and increase enemy cooldown and reload.

Covering fire sounds like it would decrease received accuracy from the enemy, and reduce your own accuracy as well so that other infantry you support can move up, a AoE buff.

I like ampm's idea, basically a light suppression type thing.

Btw I checked it out in RGDs last night.

Apparently Covering fire looks like its just a cloned SF.

Cooldown - 0.5
Accuracy - 0.3
Reload 0. 5
Supression 2.0

It doesn't work very well at actually supressing with any of the FSJ weapons. It does make a pretty funny riflenade squad though. It shoots in all directions without hitting anything, but at double speed. Other than the off chance of a riflenade hitting something with 0.3 accuracy, it makes all the other weapons kinda unusable. It says hardpoint_01 so in theory it should affect any weapon the squad carries.

I'm not sure this is what the FSJ get, but the ability is named the same upon unlocking the bottom T4 currently. So it might just be nothing happening when you activate the covering fire that Luft gets now.

One thing I havent tested in the current game, is to enable covering fire and g43 slow at the same time. Might be able to supress something then :p

lol riflenade sounds hilarious.

but i agree. Covering fire should cause reduced accuracy by the firer and one being fired upon so that other squads can move in on it. Itd be like suppression fire but better cuz the're not being suppressed but they can still run away but just can't fight back.

Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.
