It's good to have constructive feedback.
but for all intense and purposes there are features of the map that will not be changing.
The size and player numbers for the map are actually really good, it plays out hecticly fun. Of course this could cause games where someone gets an advantage and over powers the other(but any amount of players on any map can have that happen). But with the map layout I think it is too much for a 2 v 2. Too much urban for 2 players to successfully defend against 2 others, the attacker in most situations would have too clear of an advantage. The third player balances this out by being able to shift between hotspots nicely.
The forest is clearly not complete, it is a beta map atm.
the highway road is there intentionally, as others have said, its exactly what it is like out west here. And the map isn't modeled after Europe.
That said I still need to work on the roads, to make them look more believable.
Town being damaged.. I don't know yet. I had thought of this critique myself, and dismissed it for the first product. I wanted it to be a 'new' to the war front. When Germany invaded belgium I doubt it had defenses in every little village they passed, and doubt that every village was bombed prior to passing through. Of course they probably did damage a lot of them, but potentially there were some that weren't. France itself surrendered, how much 'damage' was caused prior to the allies return to the villages where there weren't any industrial or military objectives. I'm not sold on it being undamaged or damaged yet.. if I decide on going damaged with it, Obviously will have to put in shell craters and fortifications. If I decide to leave it as a peaceful undamaged land, I will have to populate it appropriately.
its to bad there are no 'live' cows in the game you can blow up and make dead as you play .. meh
but yes, I need to splat more, and populate more .. and fix yellow boxes
