ok, so ya my pc died, so iam going to get a temp fix for now..

i had a p4800-m7 MB with a P4 Prescott 3.2mhz 800fsb processor with 1,5gb 3200 ram with a Geforce AGP 6800OC video card..

it ran the game just fine for me..

so, something has died, so iam figuring out what i can do for cheap in the meantime before i get a brand new lighting pc.

one of those options is to get another p4 775 MB, i can just switch my stuff over except this MB has a PCI-E slot, so that makes my agp card unuseable, so i have to get a pci-e 16 card then, this dude does have a few, a radeon x550, 7200gs but iam unsure how those would compare to the agp card?  faster? slower?

Well I haven't dealt with those cards in centuries. First of all which 6800 is it? There's the 6800, 6800 LE, 6800 GS, 6800 GT, 6800 Ultra, 6800 Ultra Extreme. Regardless, the 7200 is TERRIBLY slow and won't even be able to play CoH. The x550 is slightly better but is far worse than whichever 6800 you might have. Aren't there any better options? You would need atleast a 7600 gt/ x1650.

Oh a vanilla 6800? Yes while the PCI-E is faster, the extra bandwidth doesn't matter on older and slower cards. The 7200 and x550 are slower than a 6800 regardless of the bus they are using.

Spend $75 and get a newer card, seriously?

Newegg has dozens that will work for this in the $50-$75 price range.

AGP is tripe, go for PCI-e
i picked up a ATI HIS 5770 for $200 brand new, runs CoH smoothly on High
