Why not have crewable, deployable, mobile AI guns similar to AT guns? Like the Wehr 40mm Flakzwilling? http://books.google.com/books?id=MuGsf0psjvcC&lpg=PA159&ots=K4-xukVE8I&dq=40mm%20wehrmacht%20AA%20gun&pg=PA168#v=onepage&q=40mm%20wehrmacht%20AA%20gun&f=false It could be like the stationary quads PE had but with a little less punch. It would still not be something that infantry would want to charge. It could either pick up and move like an AT gun or, definitely more interestingly, could be towed by a halftrack. Anyhoo, what do you think? Maybe doctrine specific? Sounds like something defense would use.

Well, defensive has one. Its a infantry gun that fires a good distance with a suh like explosion.

And scrolling down the link i found something missing from Brit Riflegrenades.

AT grenades, could penetrate up to 101mm of armor <--- WANT NAOW!

Deployable AI?

Already in the game. They're called MGs  Grin Nothing shuts down an infantry attack harder.

Defensive's le.IG 18 is pretty much exactly what you're looking for I think, it operates just like an AT gun but packs a really mean punch against infantry, and is generally just a pretty cool gun.

Beware of triages if you use them though, when I was fighting one my teammate had a triage, whenever it would hit it would knock all of my squad's health out but leave all the members alive with a little bit of hp.

I was thinking more along the lines of field control. The 88 has field control for armor, but what about inf based enemies? A 40mm deployable quad would do wonders to keep lolspam from power-upping the whole field at will. But like anything else, its vulnerable to armor and arty.

MG42, then. It'd honestly be redundant, just an upgunned Mg42 that's vulnerable to anti-tank weaponry as well as anti-infantry and can't go in buildings.
