What could possibly ever be wrong with a 3 pool 185 MP unit with access to panzerfausts and MP40s having fire-up?
Or with a 4 pool 240 MP one that has access to panzershreks and grenades and some of the best rifles in the game? Nope, nothing wrong at all.

The flamethrowers are the only remotely sensible idea you provided.

Perhaps the fact wehr mortars supress in one hit, and deal rather horrendous damage to units they hit? Boom, rifle squad half-dead and can't crawl out of the fire under it any more.

So the 4 man squad with 1 shreck with fire-up would be OP, but the 6 man squads with zooks/thompsons, RRs, and ami grenades wouldn't? It's not like you can spam the things. Shrecks on regular grens is a bad idea most of the time anyway. They die to quickly.

volks are perhaps a little to cheap... but I'm not sold that grens with fire-up would be in anyway OP. Especially not if it's an ability you'd have to purchase per squad. Like, 40 extra manpower or some shit.

I overlooked mortar suppression, but you're just being a negative nelly. Not bothering to make suggestions yourself just shoot down other people's ideas. You're being THAT guy. Mr grumpy pants.
See, you whine that it's all just SO OP!!! So why not make a counter suggestion like "well, for incendiary mortar barrage, lessen the suppression and damage slightly. Like 15/20% or something"
Holy shit! Suddenly we're having a conversation about a doctrine for the mod we both love so much! A community workin' together! Inspiring!

Psh. you're no fun, man.

Rangers are 9 pool and pay quite a lot for their fire-up, given that for a 6-man squad with elite armour and meh rifles they cost 310 mp. So... no. Also, nobody is whining here. Just shooting down terrible ideas. Should we let terrible ideas fly so you can have your fun?

2 whole extra dudes. AI/AT All at once. Fuckin' sub machine guns. Ya, they cost more. They can fuckin' DO more.

Still not a good reason why grens shouldn't have access to it for a cost. You aren't even thinking what tier something like that would be found in. What doctrine choices someone would have to do without in order to have grens with fire-up.

The shrek? Depends on the usage - fire-up would defo allow to close the distance a lot better.
I also like how you dodge the fact they have grenades. Also do remember the suppression capabilities available to each faction (Prohint - MG42 >>> .30 cal)

There's more to squad strengths than the ammount of men in them - and rangers with both thompsons and bazookas is single-handedly the worst infantry in the game for cost. An abomination that tries to do everything, but fails at it all due to terrible weapon retention.

And, yet again, rangers cost a whole shitload more than grenadiers.

I'm shooting down retarded ideas like fired-up volks lol.

Just want to point out that this would have to be a Doctrine Unlock for it to have a cost, in which case.... you're giving up V1s, I guess?

So what if they have grenades? They have nades so... what? They can't have fire-up? You guys aren't really giving any good reason why grens shouldn't have this ability. And what the hell are you on about artekas? So what? What's wrong with making them a T3 unlock?

Rangers are not weak. They got survivability out the ass. But THEY can have fire-up. Airborne can have fire up. But giving terror grens a t3 doc unlock to give them a purchasable fire-up is this terrible game breaking idea?

You guys are making absolutely no sense.

Does a (ballpark) 300 mp gren with fire-up really make you shit yourself that bad?

Yet again - pool values matter, the fact that grenadier grenades are much longer range matters, the fact rangers and airborne pay a premium for their grenades just because they have fire-up matters.

Yet, at 60 MP for fire-up, it could be somewhat bearable, I would guess.

IMO terror should be OP like the good ole' days.

Give it zeal as a t2 or t3, and add back in ferocity as a t4. Also, giving heavy support back a couple of range boosts would really make it more viable. GS is a must. V1 obv. Additional/more potent medkits. Tenacious faith (yea I know it used to be def, but it would really fit in with the whole gren spam concept.)

ah man. Ferocity was such total crap. I loved it.

@Myst.
Longer range. So what? Less damage.
Pool values. So what? Make terror grens 5 pool value instead of 4.

Still not a single good reason out of either of you.

Less Hp on allied squad members. Casualty rate roughly the same. This is disregarding the fact grenades are usually thrown in twos.

What if somebody uses the terror grens without fire up?

I support this idea, but for a t3-unlock you should get more then just fireup unlocked imho.

How about

Fanatical Assault

unlock Fireup for grens

30 muni (60 seems a bit much maybe im wrong)

unlock Mp 44 for Grens

100 muni

you can use one or the other or both, which makes them like weaker rangers but kinda cool imho

You can't give MP44s to Grens or else there's really no point in KCH.

KCH and 4 man KCH are separate units. Why not do the same for grens?

Still don't see how having grenades excludes grens from having fire-up. It's not like fire-up is gonna suddenly make them wtf op. It'll add an interesting new dynamic to terrors gameplay.
