Since the AB doc isnt out and since Condors thread was such a hit, Id like to try to keep from going all asymetric warfare again.

On my list
AB sniper- already has AB armor. Cloak/Fireup makes him too hard to kill. Take out AB armor.
AB medic - too hard to kill. regen for unit itself is too high. make it regen when not in combat.
Easy Co - No.

No AB sniper period. AB already get the hit-and-run capabilities of Airborne, the main-line fighting units capabilites of AB Rifles, and the hold-the-line defensive style of support weapons. They don't also need a sneaky-sneaky unit that can't be touched due to Fire Up and AB armor.

So basically everything currently added to AB is broken. except for AB rifles maybe? even the vcoh offmaps are OP i read here.

But then what doctrines should AB get? there is nothing left to give them! maybe move the t17 to AB for raiding operations and supporting RRs?

Not adding things to certain doctrines that specifically and intentionally lack something with that capability would be nice. Airborne is and has always been the AT doctrine with its awesome RRs and paradropped AT guns, and is supposed to be lacking a hardcore AI unit. Now they get AB Rifles, BARs, HMGs, Mortars, Snipers... I guess Strafe wasn't enough??

In COHO you have to unlock doctrine abilities like Recon, satchels, grenades, the 6 men squad, etc.

For recon it's done like:

- Recon.
- Recon + sight.
- Recon + sight + detects camouflaged units in the ground.
- Recon (all of the above) can be called twice...

Easy to fill the company doctrine in an instant.

I'd much rather have interesting and varied selections to fill the doctrine, rather than just mere improvements on certain abilities.

You expect us to use a strafing run of max 2 to kill enemy infantry? and airbourne squads that are for at only?

No, you still have BAR Rifles, HMGs, Mortar, Sherman, Quad, Flame Engies, Croc, etc.

COMPROMISE:
How about airborne riflemen is included but they can't buy bars. Greaseguns/thompsons. Make them more of an assault soldier without the suppression ability.

Then they will be very useful but not unstoppable because they can't suppress vet 3 kch instantly like they could with bars.
