To be completly honest, Animals are generaly more 'civilized' us, as most of them only kill what they need and they don't waste thier food.

Even if animals do not value live as we do, we humans are still animals as we evolved from apes. Just becuase we think difffrently and regard things diffrently to animals, does not mean that we are any way higher than them in the world, even if we like to think we are.

Bringing animals into our "civilised times, we view this as doing the animal a favour as we "think" it is getting a better standard of life. A dog as a family pet may well get a better standerd of life, but this will never override its instinct.

As the link will reiterate, congress passed a bill which bans these videos from interstate trade. It only awaits Obama's signature. You can't ban the sale or possession of the videos as per the freedom of speech, but at least they'll be... a little harder to come by... maybe... Whatever. At least it's somethin.

That said; anyone who would harm another living creature for any reason other than food, sustenance, self defense, or because it has more than 4 legs, is a sick sick sick fucking bastard. All people should do them harm if they are able.
