That's like offering Beer to fuck the fat chick. It will work for a while, but it's not gonna last. Not only that, but there is zero motivation for the Fat chick to loose weight.

I liked total war, but their multiplayer campaign taking so long really turned me off of it Sad

I liked first Medieval, Rome was decent, and last two TWs are just terrible.

All I want is Half Life episode 3, and Diablo 3. But it will be centuries before either of those come out.

I WOULD be excited about Shogun 2: Total War if I gave two shits about Japanese history.

I'm waiting on Resident Evil 6.. Or the next Silent Hill.. Resident Evil 6 is expected to be released in 2014 Sad.

Waiting for Blizzard games is always a bad idea. They'd have to be the slowest developers in the world (With the exception of the development teams in charge of Duke Nukem Forever)!

I've already got my Crysis 2 pre-order, and hopefully Dead Space 2 will not just be the same thing over and over again in terms of combat.

Does anyone else think Homefront looks really really stupid? An invasion by North Korea? Could they have been MORE far fetched?

I prefer games set in the relative present to be at least a little grounded in reality.

Its not an invasion by north korea, it's an invasion by a united korea who kicked japans butt which btw isnt too hard, they dont have much of a military and then proceeds to kick chinas butt so with the resources of china and japan and korea combined (not to mention all the islands and stuff around it) they invade america AFTER they launch a satellite which wipes out america's power grid, so...not very far-fetched at all. Heck, Britain could invade if we had no power grid.

the Games I want are...
Human REvolution (maybe)
Homefront
Crysis 2 (maybe)
Portar 2 (maybe)
Arkham City
Call of Duty: Space?
Mass Effect 3

and that'll do it for me.

The only ones i'll for sure get are homefront, arkham city, and mass effect 3, all the other stuff will be decided by reviews and available money.

Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.

Invasion or not, Korea uniting and taking half of Asia and then knocking the entire US power grid out with a single satellite sounds pretty out there.

Not really, mainly because the US is filled with people like you, it would be caught so completly off guard that it might actually work. Plus an EMP would help.

Plus the fact showing further proof that you didn't watch the trailer as its not an invasion from North Korea, but an invasion force from Asia.

But anyways my list

Homefront
Littlebig Planet 2
Killzone 3
Resistance 3
Uncharted 3
Space Marine
Elder Scrolls

Wait what, an invasion by North Korea is realistic because the civilian populace wouldn't expect it whatsoever?

Its not an invasion by NK

its an invasion by an Asian Coalition, which China alone probably has hundreds of sleeper cells already in your country, and we know Russia does, couple have been routed out recently. Combined with the element of Surprise and an electromagnetic pulse taking out 90%of the countries infrastructure at least temporarily would be the reason it would have a chance of succeding (as per the game, also its during the middle of a HUGE oil Crisis with lots of citizen unrest meaning army morale would be low)

(or did everyone miss the fact that it shows all of Asia invading the US)

Well, civilian populace disbelieving just NK staging an invasion to be unrealistic and the military seeing a growing threat from Asia is a HUGE difference, so I doubt there'd be the element of the surprise.

A single EMP taking out the entire US power grid sounds like total bullshit to me.

So you pretty much didn't watch the trailer, that says how over 20 years this happens after teh UN and the US start to fall apart, then they strike

Oh and btw, a large enough EMP CAN take out the entire power grid. Only hardened instalations would have a chance of surviving.

I only watched the one trailer that popped up on homefront's website where there was much blah blah blah about kim jong il's son then an occupied US.

NK conquering Asia eh? All without our intervention? All without Russia's intervention? What the shit? Either way. It's STILL far fetched and supremely retarded. NK is only a regional power in that they have enough men and material to bum rush their neighbors, but any attempt at a protracted war would spell doom for them (admittedly at the cost of thousands and thousands of lives for whoever opposes them).
Plus I love how this global oil crisis only affects every other country in the world, but not NK. They somehow manage to conquer Asia AND the US while... what? We're impotent to stop them? Fess up, man. It's a ridiculous story line, but you're excited to play it because you love that action packed cheesy shit.
