Axis flame tanks seem more fitting for Terror then Defensive.

Tbh I agree. I fell like the geshutz is also more fitting as defensive. Perhaps if a flame tank were implemented the two could be switched.

A flame tank would be fantastic. Something like the Croc and IST, tough and with short range.

How about a flammenpanther Cheesy

j/k ok, so lets get a Flammenstug, switch the gayishwagen to defensive (so not a terror weapon...) and we're all happy Cheesy

just as an add on...maybe replace the mg42 on the stug with the flamethrower, much like the churchill croc, it could only fire forward but it'd be pretty nasty still.

Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.

hmm would you give the stug the croc flamethrower or the churchill one? cause the church one is pretty beastly.

it would be nasty ,but depends about platform...croc is so effective cuz it's a damn tought son of a biatch....and stug dies to like 3 at gun hits...I would gladly pay a bit more fuel for something more durable than stug...

If this is implimented I would hope it isnt a doctrine unit tbh, and it should probably be a PE unit not a wher unit, simply cause PE have a lack of flame weapons available. A stug with flamethrower would be really really cool.

If button is involved, I love it more. Only thing that shoots while buttoned..?

IST's pretty much still fire duing button. the main gun Hardpoint on IST's is the last hardpoint to be disabled by button and even then it's only for like 4 seconds or something. A Flame StuG would be pretty fun to see. Powerslide flamethrowers

What's the use of adding a flametank with 20m range that just gets stickied to death like the IST? While IST can still dodge the damn thing...

Because a forum post should be like a woman's skirt. Long enough to cover the subject material, but short enough to keep things interesting.

You got it all wrong. Add in a LTAHT Model with a Flamethrower instead with a larger firing arc. That's how it worked in real. Or a halftrack with both MG and flamethrower- similar to a pioneer in a IHT. That's how most Axis used their mobileflamethrowers. In a halftrack. Not only is that toy cheaper but its fast and can carry infantry and support it at the same time.

Excelent point. If axis got a flame tank it'd need to have at least church croc range. Any more than that would be/look ridiculous. Sherm croc range would be suicide.

But with range like a church crocs, it'd need to be on the Stug. It'd be OP on a turret like a P4s.

Stug frontal armor is good enough to protect it from all but AT guns. I see no glaring balance issues...

Please give it to terror, oh devs. Pretty pretty please.

this is why I suggested an ability that prevents stickies and button being used on my flammpanzer III in that other thread

It would also have the 25 range, same flamethrower as the flammenwerfer halftrack, but having only one of those would make it considerably weaker than a flammenwerfer halftrack.

just curious how u could stop a grenade with sticky stuff from latching onto anything. (i'd love to have an ability where u can throw stickies on anything!)

also, button makes more sense on a halftrack, fire at the slits and the driver will stop, heck some bullets might just penetrate.

but a nyway, i suggested the stug most of all cuz it'd be like the croc, high frontal armor so against handheld At it wouldn't go down that fast and then it's faster than a churchill and has a better tank gun than the croc.

if u want to make it like the chuchhill...put it on a tiger chassis lol

Magic, of course. I wasn't going for realism, because very little in this game is realistic. The sticky stopper would be just as magical as stickies themselves.

Technically speaking Tym, unless that sticky lands on engine ventilation or in the tread, it wouldnt even scratch the tank. So side skirts should prevent most of the damage since they prevent any real access to the treads.
