Canister Shot is literally the gayest thing in EiR. There's no excuse for it being implemented back into the mod since it is such a poorly designed ability, and does not fit into EiR in any meaningful way.

Greatly reduce Canister Shot's damage and increase it's suppression, so that it pins squads, rather than outright obliterate them.
This would carry over the ability's main function (instant and simple AI capabilities, effective against blobs, etc) while properly adapting to an EiR environment (since you can't just retreat back to base and reinforce, and instantly killing entire squads is a big no-no in EiR).

Do the same to Strafe while you're at it.

yea very good point, the canister shot in Vcoh its purpose was to cut down those eilte squads to smaller sizes and make your enemy have to fall back and reinforce buying you time. But in eir that doesnt happen. its like Panda running around with his sniper blob. bye bye to your infantry ever being effective

yea somebody posted the stats for the stag nerf and its like .8 acc to .25. That's not a nerf thats a redesign. I think it shows how badly stag is balanced in its non-canister form.

Canister shot is fine for a stuart. The problem isn't canister shot, its the fact that the big bundle of AI gets even more AI

Killing a 450 hp vehicle before the user can press a hotkey and click on a squad is easier said than done. Unless you ambush it with six cloaked PaKs.

Well if they have a staurt/stag on the field then you SHOULD have some sort of at in form of a pak and tank. If he blindly charges in to kill one squad its a bigger loss for him then you.

PLus you only loose one squadif hes in your lines killing your dudes then you kinda deserve it?

I'm not saying if it's worth it or not, just that saying "kill it before it can use an ability" is an incredibly pointless statement and is extremely hard to pull off.
