So I was looking up something unrelated and When I found the Wikipedia entry for "Amun-Ra"(Egyptian god) It said in a little side bar "Major Cult center: Thebes"
Which makes sense, but I don't want Wikipedia hating on the religions that people might still follow. So I looked up Christianity and it doesn't have the same header. You guys think we could get Wikipedia to list "Major Cult Center:Vatican City" on the christian page too?
I just don't want them being prejudice to someone's beliefs!
I hate to ruin your fun, but cult doesn't mean what you think it means here. They are talking about this type of cult http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cult_%28religious_practice%29. In other words centers of religious practice/rituals and so forth. By extension one could say the Vatican city is the cult center for Catholicism but even that would be stretching it. |
