So we play on, Grassy fields, farms, forrest, small villages.

What about a map similar to Cherbourg?

Like, inside a town, imagine all the destruction, effects.. Awesomesauce?

For the armor, would use roads and alleys, but the map would be more progressive and advancement, infantry + armor.

A open plain somewhere like a park?

And by this i dont mean map similar to Carentan, cause its barley a town..
A map without grass except parks and plants lol..

City maps are always clusterfucks for everyone but they are more fun than open areas.

That is true Nightrain, so that would be a new challenge for the mappers for once?

To path as good as they can and still maintain a high mobility, i would just love to see a riflemen squad running on the street securing alleys and get ambushed by MG for example in a building, like a good old Band of brothers carentan theme.

The thing is that Allies generally have a big advantage with Town maps, since they have all sorts of weapons that ignore blocking buildings ( PIAT's, Stickies, Nades ). There are no real axis equivilants for those.

While I can agree with PIATs and Stickies... nades, really? Both grenadier nades and incendiary nades are great.

Erm dude, grenadier nades?

As effective,

Actually I think you should get Munitions when you buy grenadier grenades coz the time it takes for you to actually throw them gives you less damage then when you just would have kept shooting with your elite kar98  Undecided

Grundwaffe, you will enjoy my map when I finish it. The town in the centre is very BoB inspired in it's winding alleys, and deeply concentrated urban field.

Check out the thread. It's a WIP because I take my time mapping in order to give it heavy detail and realism.

Grenadier grenades are at least as effective as pineapples, although they do less damage directly their targets have less health and they do about the same damage as a percent of health (72% vs 75%), not to mention they hit more people because of bigger US squads, have 25% longer range, and are 10 munitions cheaper.

I rather liked the Arnhem map that someone (I think salan) converted from the OF campaign to EIR.
It was a blast.

I dunno about all city maps because of riflenades, piats, mortars, artillery, and scorched earth players in general. It can be pretty rough. I like the maps like Linden that have an open-terrain sandwich between two small and very urban town sectors.

I always thought Arnhem was one of the best maps I'd ever seen. The only problem was it was so small... which is hardly surprising given the sheer amount of incredible detail that it has.

Heavily urban! Like Arnhem style buildings... With two large highways that intersect in the middle. Like an X. Little parks here and there. And all of it untouched by warfare...till the battle starts. It'd be fun to see a pretty little town get turned to total shit by the end. Kinda like what'd always happen in Bastion. But fuck that map.
