don't start building at the edges of the map while half of the stuff isnt even in the playable area. start with the basic stuff: hedges, roads, buildings, trees, walls, fields. in this case you could add big long trenches to that list i guess. but 1st fill the entire map with those objects and then start working on the rest.

if you do it like you are doing it now it will turn out as a big mess where everything looks fake and out of place.

why so much detail on the edge of the map, no one will look at it at all. (round start, click battalion click middle map to spawn, wait)

Keep in mind that details do not make a good gameplay map, after many times played no one looks at the details but goes for the known usual places where he can 'stay' with his troops, aka battle line. imo a good map should be balanced, and details are only good for the first impression.

u might wanna look up some airphotos of the normandy beaches. u probably see a structure of hedgerows and roads behind the beaches. you can just sort of copy over the structure from the photo. it really helps.
