Had a good game on Neuville with WriterX.

http://www.filefront.com/17911701/vs.DemonJebus.7z

Allied:
Me (Infantry)
WriterX (dunno)

Vs.

Axis:
Demon767 (SE)
Jebuslovesyou (Luft)

Good game, lots of BAR play vs. Flammen Grens and Falls
M10 hummel hunt
My 2 T3 Triage/BAR centered build. Didnt pan out correctly cause of Hummel Inc. Barrage, but we held in there.
ATG staggered leapfrog to keep those ISTs at bay.
Inf coy "First Aid" keeps me in the fight long after I should've lost it.

Positioning was everything, it allowed me to concentrate fire on the right spots, and fend off flanks, but we just ran out of stuff to throw. First aid helped alot in many spots. cover to cover fighting benefited me because I was able to replenish my squads as they dropped. Just watched the game myself, sry bout the lag.

Enjoy

I was unable to move with my IST, it was very frustrating. 2 ATGs and infantry really stuffed me over this game

I figured it was the only thing that was going to stop you. Consider it just good planning.

I think INF + ATG rapes PE in the new meta game. Will watch when I have time. Thanks for posting this.

It was indeed good planning, it was why i was defending my hummel with such ferocity. it was the only saving grace for me to take out the ATGs

2x BAR squads and a ATG stops PE dead in its tracks. Having 2 atgs you can creep the PE out as if the atgs were sticks and pe rabid dog.

Something what GroundFire did. 3 Squads of infantry up front 2 anti tank guns behind. Add in a MG and perfect lock down vs PE without A) Hummel B) Mortar Halftrack C) Halftracks for everyone!

Because a forum post should be like a woman's skirt. Long enough to cover the subject material, but short enough to keep things interesting.

i think quad and at gun spam is even more nasty

and that would have been probably an easy win if you would have left demons 20 pop wasting (hummel,50mm HT+tankbuster) 1-4kills vet whoring hummel right next to his spawn alone most time

My presumption of your intelligence was way off.

If they didnt go for my Hummel i would of killed there infantry

If they did go for my hummel, i kill there vehicles.

If i see they are not going for my hummel, i pull my AT units forward, simple, give me more credit douche.

as you can see in the video, i killed i think 10+ infantry, maybe less, but they were crucial ATGs kills that could of helped us if we took the advantage, from memory we werent able to. but i also dragged out 1 m8, 1 m10 and 1 sherman for my Hummel + 1 50mm.

so in comparison, what would they want to loose, lots of infantry, or lots of vehicles trying to get my hummel. It certinaly payed off and i wouldnt change anything different that i did in that game, i did my best.

the hummel got exactly 4 kills when it retreated 90% of the time it was on field it had 1 kill

and thats why i said "for most time" just show some presence and vet whoring people will get trapped by their own vet

Everyone says BAR squads and ATG's rapes PE... and it's true of the very straight edged typical PE builds. It's certainly not easy to overcome, but when you do the enemy falls fast.

I've got a 5 Mortar Halftrack company expressly for that purpose. Those things rack up crazy amounts of kills

Yeah, I was presently suprised at how the Quads faired. They were absolutely garbage vs. the Old PE. and I only had 4 ATGs, I just kept them alive or recrewed.

See the thing is, I run a balanced US company nearly exclusively and this was the first game in a long while where I thought to myself, "I have absolutely all the tools needed to do the job if I just play correctly, in cover, covering everything, etc."

Those of you who have played with me for some time know how i dont play right unless it's a fair game. I goof off and sometimes sit in the back or passively build sandbags while I get a cup of coffee.

I did not do that this game. Any game vs. Deamon is worth my A-game and I used my units properly as the right counters and eliminating enemy problem units fast (hummel would've killed me), that's why you didnt see my jumbos or shermans till end game (because it wasnt condusive to the situation) and I still lost and I was fine by it because the game met all my expectations as far as unit preformance goes.

With the new PE changes, my US company is probably the absolute worst thing PE could face atm. Triple BAR, First Aid, 2 Triage supported 8-10 rifles with another 5 in support, plus 4 ATGs w/ AP rounds, and Sherman/sniper/MG support. Using this game as a barometer I think that the PE vs. US matchup is right where it needs to be, maybe leaning to the US side a bit, but with some fine tuning for PE, I think things are generally very good.

Massive fail from WriterX at start.

Fail for first 10:00. You guys could have easily steamrolled the PE... why do you guys always insist on fighting head on? Do some flanking!

I actually felt sad for the PE because their inf just gets stopped so easily now.

10:01 - 20:00

Allied forces constantly outnumber AXis forces or are advantaged against them... but you keep fighting on their terms and turf... If anything else, I commend axis on good play so far.

Battle in the mid at 25:00 or there abouts onwards is in Axis Favour... but BARs w/ suppression easily outdps and pins troops.

Second assault at 30:00 onwards was good but flawed because they fought front to front against ur ATGs. Point to u guys. If they flanked they would have won easily.

Well played to Demon & Jeebus if u asked me... Even despite being disadvantaged with the infantry. I can see however, one of them is using luftwaffle inf + falls to minimise the impact of Inf armour change.

If i had the right scouting at 30:00 possibly Cloud, but i was trying to focus on a big Infantry rush, and i was more afraid of the 3 ATGs in the middle. it was my last IST and i had to play conservative with it, trying to drag out as many targets as possible to thin out the ranks, any assualt would of resulted in me loosing my ist at that point with atleast one sticky. they also had lots of bar squads so my infantry would had no chance what so ever.

im trying to point out my mindframe at the time, as when you watch a replay you can see best opportunities then the actual player cuz of FOW

Good play doesnt always mean going for the throat. Some players will promptly beat the living tar out of you.

I thought my side did good considering it was WriterX's second or so game back after a long break.
