Personally I said that MP40s are better at defending your support weapon from flanking. Other than that it isn't really meant for assaulting. After all it isn't a MP44. It is a MP40, defencive weapon. But if you got pool and tons of Manpower. buy 3 Pio squads. That gives you 1 extra MP40 and is only 1 pop more expensive  |

1 pio mp40 has 6 dps 1 volk mp40 has 15 dps 1 mp44 has 19 dps on 3 kch, mp40 volk squad for 60 mu is more cost effective than 1 squad of mp44 kch vs unupgraded riflemen

CoH =/= IRL Lets prove you. As said it has 20% accuracy on the move and the volksquad has no recieved accuracy bonuses while on the move which means they get hit more often than any unit with a Thompson (other than the officer). This means that the squad loses more men and thus more firepower until they are at the ideal range for all smgs. Close range. It's long range accuracy is plain terrible and its medium one isn't all that better either. |

dude u fail thats close range and nothing while they move it drops to 3dps on close range while an mp44 still got 14.55 means alsmost 5 times higher dps |

If you want to get into that argument on realism the MP40 fires a smaller round than either of the other two...
Anyway, in game, yes and no. If you want to use it as an assault weapon don't get it, if you want to use it to defend a spot combined with an HMG it's good.
Do I buy them? Hell no, for 10mu more and slightly more Manpower I can get Grens with a god damned LMG that kills at short, medium and long range and 3 better rifles.
