So i bought Hawx 2 for how ever much and on running it i get an error "launcher error 1" ive tried following advice on steam forums  but when i run the benchmark i get

@windows vista service pack 0 (7600)
IE version 8.0.7600.16385

ive tried posting on steam forums but am unable to

any ideas?

I don't think IE has anything to do with steam games rifle...

better advice: Don't buy Tom Clancy's games.

I see that you have no service packs. Not sure if this download actually helps that, or if this is saying you're screwed without the SPs, but here's the link:

He probably also needs the .Net updates, it makes a huge difference

I mean lololololol, that you can even run coh without even SP1 is a mystery, let alone even start your machine!
