Tym.....dont defend your spam... spam is the issue, its putting a bunch of pool cheap units, that get good stuff together and spamming the crap out of them, defeats the purpose of EiR.
i dont spam, not like some other players. Most of my builds are high on combined arms. the closest thing i've got to spam is my ab company which is built around *gasp* my airborne
When i speak of spam, i mean building your company around 2 or 3 units that thats all you have. Having a lot of one unit and supporting it with a variety of units isn't spam in my opinion. Having a lot of one unit and using a variety of stuff to support it is like having a heavy tank and having a variety of units to support it. It's the center of your build thus u protect it.
