Airborne- once you get implemented the meta game will change to ostwind and otherwise assault infantry armies rather than heavy tanks.

Realistically, you don't want to go chasing Tigers with AB....
It usually ends up with you losing more than the Tiger player, even if you force the tank off.

Who said anything about chase? a few m10s, AT guns with AP and RRs attacking at the same time and that Tiger is toast. Hit and run doesn't involve chasing, you fire the RRs, run away without taking any damage, how is that more cost some? Clearly you have not seen airborne in the hands of a skilled player.

The AB dont even factor in if its already fighting M10's + 57mm AP round atgs. A few M10's, lets assume 2-3, already kill a Tiger. Add in ATGs and its easy.
2 ATGs with AP rounds beat a Tiger, add in an M10 to chase and its dead.

Yes, but Airborne are more mobile than AT guns and survive longer than m10s. Combined arms is always nice, anyways the main point was that you can fire off RRs then run back without taking any damage. Tiger has slightly longer range but Airborne are still much faster so they can fire off and get back before the Tiger has time to reload and if that's not enough you can always use a decoy like a bike or fire up to help out. The Tiger is usually more focused on the m10s/ATGs giving you time to fire off several damaging shots.
But if you only have one ATG and the Tiger flanks it then you have nothing. It's hard to maintain 2 ATGs and your best alternative for hand-held AT are stickies, bazookas or AT rifles and none of them perform well against a Tiger.

airborne need a range buff to combat allied heavy tanks, relic was stupid to only have it at 35 range.
b4 u trolls go off, this is the same argument pe players had for the ist getting a range buff in doc abilities. IF you think a range buff on rr's would break the game, its the same argument for the ist.

You can field two ATGs and that's also what most players do, but it's hard to keep them both alive and if you get overrun you'll lose a lot of your AT capacity. They are also quite slow so they can't follow the Tiger around much or get many AP shots at it. So it's a risky move and mostly a defensive option, you're not gonna kill Tigers with them, just maybe get a few shots at them.

yeah, keep him at bay until it gets precision striked, off maped, killed by storms, assault, or a nebel.
Or the Tiger kills it, i've had a tiger go toe to toe with 2 atgs and kill them both 1 by 1 and didn't even lose half its health.

Or, check this out, if you want to kill a Tiger and are worried about it chasing your ATGs, use a fucking Rifle sticky or Bren squad....
Holy shit! 2 ATGs + Rifle/Bren = 15 pop!!! LESS THAN TIGER.
On top of this, you can field a secondary sticky/bren, or whatever you want to counter the Tiger's support!
Then, if he sets up his ATGs to support the Tiger vs your M10/FF you can use your offmaps to kill them!

lol, airborne wont balance the meta-game, it has always changed it and turned it on its head. Airborne are to hard to balance.

and u dont think i did this? it raped the rifle squad and moved in on the atgs. it's just two shots to take out a rifle squad 3 at the most. Bren is better than stickying anyway as the stickies range is so ridiculously short all you do is back the tiger away while it kites you while you waste your stickies double pumping

You don;t initiate the sticky toss until you can hug Tiger nuts.
if he's backing away it keeps him in the ATG arc.
Now if he uses terrain properly then that's superior tactical acumen. but in an Open field fight the ATG's win

IF the TIGER is BACKING away then your 60 RANGE ATGs should be having a field day.
THE ENTIRE PURPOSE OF THE STICKY IS AS A DETERRENT. If the Tiger is backing off and taking hits you are winning.
Just like fighting a Pershing, use ATGs and a tank crippler to keep it away....oh wait, Axis don't have a crippler....hmmm....
