Any CONSTRUCTIVE reason why they SHOULD start with Fails other than it being "annoying" ?

makes it hard for your units to get into battle fast enough as u have to click the box then click multiple times on the boxes to get the medkits before charging in
now when ur teammates need you up there fast u can't fart arse around with them as well as tryinng to mirco any units u still have in the fight.

Snipers, Grens, Storms, basically any unit that can see lots of intense combat but still escape alive and remain on field with some combat presence.

Those units usually have medkits but because of their role they can burn through them quickly

so, you'd rather be able to buy it rather than have a ton of med kits you can use for free on any infantry unit? :|

Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.

Tym, they aren't free, you pay for them on squads and then drop them in with said squads.
