Ok, I started having this problem after my computer bugged out and destroyed its audio drivers. No idea why. Anyway, in trying to fix that, I did a system restore to a few days previous, but that did nothing but cause my EIRR launcher to stop working. All it says after it updates all of those files is that the program has stopped working.

Anyway, I followed all of the advice on the tech forum for this issue, installing all of those small programs that are supposed to help, but nothing works. I finally got fed up, backed my computer up, and reinstalled my OS. (win7) On top of NOT fixing my audio problem (sound card is built into the motherboard, I'll be getting an actual sound card soon), it DIDN'T fix my EIRR launcher problem. Otherwise, my computer works absolutely fine. I can play CoH just fine, I can play every other game on my computer without issue. Those are the only 2 problems with my computer, but damn, they are irritating.

Could it not just be the download is uploading a corrupt version of the launcher secne more than 1 has had this problome?
you guys did upload an update yesterday so may it not just be some failiure in the upload?

I  think there was a windows update for win 7 begin this month, but I didnt update coz for me the update wasn't working at all.

I formatted my PC about 4-5 days ago and reinstalled Windows 7 up to the latest patch, I then redownloaded EiR about 2-3 days ago without a problem. In fact, It all installed faster then usual I felt.
So I'm guessing it can't be that :<?

I tell my computer not to install updates since it already runs pretty darn well, so it can't be that.

apparently buying a new sound card completely fixed everything O.o

Did you 'install' EIRR or just copy it over?
