Whenever i try to launch, the launcher freezes almost every time right on startup, only occasionally will it make it slightly further and tell me im missing 7 or 10 files. i've uninstalled and reinstalled the latest version multiple times with no avail. any help?

No ideas right now, but I'll try to look at the code, try to find anything that might cause such unusual and erratic behavior.

Sounds like it's freezing trying to update, so is it a firewall/router/virus scan issue?

possibly but im only running norton and theres no difference when its disabled. though i am behind a router.

Hmm... :-/ Okay... hopefully Phil can get a debug version to you... Everything it does is possible using the EIR_Setup.exe package and the War Control Panel...

I'm guessing its error type 6, code 10060? My best guess is some kind of security application (firewall, anti virus, internet security suite) is blocking it. No good ideas on a solution at the moment. You'll have to use the web interfaces for now  |

you can still play, but you will have to manually download all game updates and manually download+extract battlefiles to your coh directory.
