Hey guys, I know this sounds ridiculous, but my father plays CoH about as much as I do, and he's become bored with Eastern Front and Blitzkreig mods, are there any other mods out there that one would recommend? Or anything that would re-kindle his love with the game? I've heard Joint Ops is good.

Is there any kind of site in which additional maps can be downloaded to play on for SP too?

I'm sorry, this is my first RTS, and I never played CoH more than casually so I don't know much outside of EIRR!

I like playing SP with mods installed. PLay SP with Blitz, it's hard as heck, especially on expert. Can't do the brit missions tho

I would recommend EIR.

I mean let him try some regular CoH multiplayer and then he'll realize multiplayer is more fun.

It's only wierd if he's not the gaming type of guy, I mean I know some people who have fathers that play world of warcraft and that makes me wanna kill myself but I don't see any reason why coh could ever be considered bad or childish.

JointOps is complete gaity when you're used to CoH. Arty is more or less coded to instagib half your shit (cant be dodged, no indicator, just bewm, poof), stats are messed around on units making missions like the 'hold the beach' D-Day type shite an absolute laugh when your 88 cant kill an M8, stuff like that. Some of them are ludicrous, about the only one I have the patience to sit thru is Ramelle, the Saving Pvt Ryan knockoff.

You can actually.

Add -mod Blitzkrieg -unlock_all_missions to your coh shortcut.

You'll be able to skip the first mission, and as far as I have tested, all the other ones are working.

And brits with blitzkrieg is kinda rough.


That said, I would like to say that the coh campaign are really good. You might want to try them out, I can assure you you won't regret it.

i use to play compstomps too when i got 4 lvl20's, i had richard77 on my friendslist, LOL, it was purely to boost my epic stats up even more.

Flamer spam never lost me a Scheldt match. Everyone settles in for the long haul and you can catch the majority of idiots with their pants at their ankles. The ones who resist the "Rush" make for a nice challenge. The ones who complain that you "Rush" fill the ego satisfaction quota
