I've just been trying to log in using the EIR launcher to test it works, and it updates fine. However, when I try to login, it gives me a 'bad login' error at 4/12 bytes during the login. What causes this?
Also, do I use the same login as for these forums, and if not, what do I use instead?

You use forum login, no idea about the error...

Hmm. In that case, I shouldn't have a problem. There hasn't been like a super new release of the launcher any time recently has there that I might have missed?

Latest Launcher is at: http://www.europeinruins.com/updater/eir_files/EIR_Launcher.exeHasn't been any login related issues lately, that I can remember changing. You could try a simpler password if you use any special characters in it, but unlikely to be the issue.

No, same problem. My updater was older, but it still gives me the same error. I think my password is pretty simple (in terms of characters obviously). Still, at least we can manually join battles, so it's not too bad.

I overwrote the old launcher yes. Maybe I should remove my EIR folder and reinstall it completely. I'll try that.

It probably didn't. The Launcher is a separate entity, does not use any of the other files.
It also updates itself and all EIR files before trying to login (at least I think so), so it should not be the problem.
Wilson, gonna send you a PM.

I figured it out. I was typing my relic online and control panel name into the launcher (Wilson999) when my EIR account name is Wilson. Duh!
Thanks for all the help, it was just my fault...
