it not becuse of any imbalances, i have had hardly any complaints ever.....

its becuse iv been playing COH since before it release in england, (yay bit torrenting) but i am still no better than your average n00b.... my loss to win ration is appalling, as A i won like 1 game in 10 as axis im not much better out of 8 games i have won 3 and that is mainly due to really good team mates....

i have no idea how people get really good at games, i play and play and get no where. my skilllessness is getting beyond a joke, its just embarrassing..... well say good bye to unkn0wn for me when he gets back.

i may keep looking at the forums, but i feel my COH gameing days are over......

Dude, your really not that bad. Come on, I'm not exactly great, but I still play regularly. I wouldn't care if I got beaten every game if I was having fun...

Please don't leave ... we need all the players we can get. Sad

For myself, when I hit that wall in a skill, whether its a game, painting, drawing, writing, whatever, I find the best way to improve is to go look at new ways to do it, ask advice, and if worst comes to worst have people walk you through it.

In this case, if you are having trouble, its either in understanding unit relationships, or your micro management. Both of which can be improved through a little effort.

If you want help I'm sure just about everyone is willing to lend a hand.

there is no way to "train" your self to stop forgething were your AT stormies are and then have to retreat them since they got found by a bunch of rangers.

and lost of other stupid mistakes i allways make, and my micro is pretty terrible.....

That is a tiny mistake... these things happen. I forget about AT guns all the time.

Trust me, you don't play like a noob.

Oh there are ways =) Lets just say all my units get hotkeyed and they get checked up on every few seconds.

I also learned to just move my camera to every point on the map I can see every few seconds. That way I more than likely catch anything thats going on. Other thing is to just watch the mini map during slow periods, if you see red move cam.

There are ways to speed yourself up. And from playing with you, thats always been your main weakness, how fast you notice and respond to threats. But trust me, its well doable. DasNoob was a terrible player when he started, and it took a long time till we could get him to respond quickly enough. =)

I think you need to learn not to just rush your troops in. In the last couple of games I've played, preperation has made all the difference...

We're not letting you go cozmo  Smiley

Maybe some people could record in-game videos for you to compare yourself with. I can't get it working with vista though.

Most non-strong players have problems with:
1. Understanding game mechanics
2. Awareness and response times

Train yourself in using the mini-map better and try to keep a mental image of the battlefield and where the units are, most importantly your own.

Once you have figured out those, execution won't be a big problem as CoH isn't very micro-intensive. In addition there's experience to help you make correct split-second decisions like when approaching a HMG during its setup. To rush in or back off? Or when to try finish off a tank or not.

Aww don't leave man. I used to suck horrible ass at CoH until I started watching replays from people like Akranadas. And now I believe I can play almost as good as he does. If you play regularly, your micro will improve. Start using the hotkeys even if you have to move your mouse over to highlight the text to see what it is. Eventually you'll know them by heart. Work with your teammates and watch not only other people's replays but your own as well.

As for hot keys, they're not at all required to be good. Just do what you're more comfortable with.
