An addition to veterancy : medals

Medals could be sort of achievements for performing tasks ingame for example for killing 50 inf with 1 unit ingame you would earn a medal.

In launcher you could give that medal to any of your unit. There could be 3 medals , 1 with offensive bonuses 1 with defensive and 1 mobility.
Each unit could have max 2 medals in addition to veterancy.

Rambo medal awarded to any officer who captures an enemy weapon and kills 15 guys with it

as far as i'm aware its only possible to track player stats (ie. the stuff you get at the end of a game) rather than individual unit stats

Medals is something we have long planned, after the implementation of the warmap.

But if the Stats about the amount of units killed are stored for the game would it not be posseble to just extract those minor stats?

Individual unit stats could be tracked but it's a tricky process that would require some more backend stuff. It'd be a ice feature but isn't featuring prominently on any to-do list. There are just more critical pieces in progress right now.

Also, I think Vertiggo had some juicy looking medals that he was working on for in-game usage.

I help manage the database and that focus is more towards the launcher. I have the skills to do some of the other stuff but I believe in a separation of power. It leaves less chance for corruption and personal agendas.

Not sure when I got the Dev tag. Probably to help facilitate Website and rules enforcement. I've been helping for a while and had the Honary member tag and liked the niche I filled of power without recognition but all good things must come to an end.
