Hmm, the entire war is online based, so you could for instance hold the match through hamachi, if thats what you mean by "lan". And ofcourse if you were to face your brother/other family members, you could play it through lan aswell.

Or do you mean downloading the mod, setting up your company and then playing your friends over lan with it, without the peristant war part?

I think he means can people get together and make armies for quick games over lan using the playing style of the mod.

That would only require a slight modification to the system and I'd be willing to implement something like this.

Hahaha, so you're basically saying you wanna play this like Warhammer 40k ect.  Where campaign are WAY fun, but you can test out your armies in quick battles.
I can see this being quite possible. As things get set up, I can easily see people forming another campaign next to this one.

yeah 40K for the win.  it would be fun to be able to make a team to test in a quick battle against another human player to test your army out.
