If your REALLY having problems, do a quick embark, and use the "DFreveal" utility program to see how "layers" work. (It removes FOW, allowing you to see all stuffs) Take care to put the FOW back if you intend to play before unpausing, or something horrific will happen to your fort.

Well I guess Il try digging alot deeper next time I play. I am on another comp right now though.
Except I have to make a new fortress now because the one I was talking about has 2 people left, which are very close to raging then dieing of thirst.
Basicly when winter came I didn't have enough water/booze stored up to survive the whole damn thing, and my guys started to die of thirst due to me not knowing how to melt ice either.
Then my dwarfs began to rage at eachother, one even knocked the other out with a left foot to the temple, then they began to throw constant tantrums dieing right soon after the tantrums begin.
So basicly yeah I have 2 people left in my fort, and it apears they are soon going to die too.
Will update when i get home.

Plump helmets. Plump helmets. Go to kitchen and turn off cook for plump helmet seed/spawn. Just keep growing plump helmet. |

I just downloaded Dwarf Fortress with a skinpack (forgot which one) just to try it out, and damn is that game ever tough to learn. I'm looking up some articles on how to play the thing, because to me the game's nearly incomprehensible.
