I have a secret technique which I am very proud of. It comes to any man naturally, its easy to do and it works.

Just repeat the last word they said. Depending on the word, Add in soft or hard exclamation, soft would be stuff as: "Ah, yeah, and then?" Hard would be: Wow, no way!?.

Example:

"So I was at the store with Cindy, and we saw this fat lady, she was stuffing her face with fries"

"Fries, yeah?"

Example 2:

"I was at this super funny party last night and me and Cindy made out"

(calls for a hard exclamation)

"Made out, woah!"

If you wanna go native, you drop exclamation, you'll indirectly sense when this is appropriate:

Example:

"I think I'm going to start to collect something. What do you think about collecting stones?"

"Stones?"
