well not really frusterated but its damaging to the daily grind to have a game play through the resource time and for that resource section to take effect before that game ends... essentially missing the company you are in, due to the fact the companies losses are figured out after the match by report.

is there anyway to delay engaged companies daily resource period until they become unengaged?

or would the coding for that be a bit of a mess

I was thinkin awhile back that if it was made so that a company stayed engaged for 2 battles then got a resupply it would prob work better. It would just make it so you had to play all three companies.


Also avalibility would need to changed to every two resupplies.Please see the example below.


I.E. 

Alpha plays an battle. After the battle it stays engaged but has a resupply .

Bravo plays a battle. After the battle Alpha and Bravo are still engaged and Bravo gets a resupply.

Charlie plays a battle. After the battle Alpha is no longer engaged Charlie stays engaged and gets its resupply, one more battle till Bravo is avalible for battle.

basically that means you never have a unsupplied company ... right now people are choosing to play one company only more and more,  more because they changed the resupply to only give 1 turn even if you play multiple companies..  and with this system they CAN be missing a few things here and there still if they aren't careful.

with that one you will never be short anything ever.

It also forces you to play 3 companies, and stops a player from vet stacking one. If i remeber the first posts on this subject that was the whole reason for limited resupplies.

hehe vet stacking, look at tkaudi's list ... you can stack it easily enough on three ... id actually lose more vet if I only played one , constantly losing units Sad

U can put a howie at ur spawn and arty all the other spawns....this is extremely gay expecally early game where when the axis player trys to take the howie out the allies just call in fresh troops with the anti spawn rush buff....

ya that needs its own thread bonte, try to be reasonable and educated in your complaint and it will definetly get better ears..

It has already reached our ears - that's a good point.  Still, do consider that the howie and any units that have been spawned for a short period of time have no benefit, so it's not like there is a permanent set of defenders with ultra powerful abilities defending.  You can try to bring some in each time you assault, but it could be quite difficult as well.  We're looking into this issue and how to resolve it.

i tried that ucross but everytime i assualted and retreated..they would arty my spawn killing all my incoming and retreating units..it was very frustrating

...it was almost as bad is losing my panther to a single demo charge the game before...

i wonder how this will effect things like my nebelwerfers hiding in my spawn, I always keep them as close to the spawn as i can so i can get them out fast... otherwise they change hands and get used against me.  Yet I don't keep them there so i can have UBER soldiers protecting them, its just a kinda side effect of the buff ..

the spawn buff is a good thing, i haven't seen ANYONE try to spawn camp at all... its just kinda imbalancing in the fact you can run across half the maps to quickly reinforcing points that were just falling at the drop of a hat..

I don't like that, on some maps like Angoville, it's virtually impossible to completely flank the opposing player due to the LOS and the fact that spawning units get massive bonuses.

Tweaking the spawn bonus system aside, the best way to handle this is map control. I believe there is another thread out there at the moment on the subject.

The two biggest problems I've noticed with playing EiR on the stock maps are: retreat locations being on a different part of the map to spawn locations and sometimes the arrangement of territories. 

And I'm going to stop there because this thread has drifted far enough off track already...

I played a game today where this very thing happened.   One of the allied players put the Howy in the corner between two spawn points and had instant super defenders every time we came to take it out... not to mention the massive amount of traps that were placed around it...

We need large custom maps, LARGE maps. If they have to be in your 3rd of the map to fire at your spawn, its fair.
