This thread is going to be just like all the rest. It will become a personal preference argument about individual maps.

You can't ignore the numbers. Whether you like a map is irrelevant if the majority of the community is not playing it.

Low play maps should be removed to make room for new ones.

Maybe we could make a community map wish list for when the warmap comes out.

We'll make a list of maps from this list here, of whats definately going in, then you guys can submit completed / favourite maps for us to review for adding - hows that sound?

Lanteville needs a resectoring. A 5 minute job? The map itself is great. It's straight forward, you got that I got that gameplay.

If you're going to fix the trucks, find some way to fix the fireports on that large tower that's on the map. I had a Ranger's bazooka shot hit the edge of the platform (firing at a vehicle below) and do damage to the tower and obviously not hit the intended target.

While I agree, some lower played maps are possibly just not played much due to poor pathing, sectoring or some other issue that could be resolved with a fix.

That was what I was meaning with the request AFTER we make a final list.

I dont get why we have to axe maps at all. Whats the benefit?

Download size, and quality. A lot of the maps in currently don't even meet the requirements. Also, # of games played doesn't mean everything, if a map has shoddy quality it needs to be reworked to be in line. When maps are shoddy, our mod's professionalism goes down hill.

Well that's kinda what I am saying. If they are not being played because of bad sectoring or any other reason, they should be removed until someone wants to fix them.
Unless they are fixed, they are just going to sit there taking up download space.

I propose taking them out. Then start a thread with a list of the ones removed. People can choose to load them and fix them, or let them rot in hell.

Tank, we can't physically play these maps unless we force people to download them from nowhere and play them. If we could choose the maps, I bet they'd be higher than what they are now! The ones that are currently in that have less than 30 should go, but tbh, because we're in a rebuilding phase and everything is in production, why not give us something new in the meantime by just implementing all these maps again, then compare numbers when warmap comes in?

Also, Dawn Winter got ninja axed, and me and nug worked so hard on getting that map into a workable shape. It was a fine map.

Dawn winter is cool map......... it might be not as long as other maps ,but it offers fast paced close combat gameplay which imo is FUN.

i could make a thread that could add some fixes to good maps that have pathing issues/ need a bit of balancing. i like doing that kind of shit its why i steal maps. i cba making my own. venue was like a 5 min job and now it's completely playable.

Go through the list I crossed out to start. List them in a thread and get feed back on why they suck. Then make corrections.

The old maps that are not in were also removed for good reasons at the time. Those need to be looked at & corrected as well.
