If you really like the action 3rd persony shooters, yes.
If you play the tabletop games, yes.

Otherwise treat it as on the reviews.

Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.

To be fair, this is about all a Space Marine does, move from warzone to warzone and crush the enemies of the Imperium of Man.

I mean, sure, it could be an RPG, where you spend time in between hacking, shooting, and curb stomping the xenos and Chaos by sitting in a plain room, meditating and cleaning your wargear....

the area where you meditate and clean your wargear is where you go to log off so you get 2x rest xp and rp.

Sarcasm aside, is there an RPG (lite) element to the game?

Shit I'm pretty sure you could offer the guy a cup of coffee and he'd try to kill you with the mug if you forgot sugar.

That's like offering Beer to fuck the fat chick. It will work for a while, but it's not gonna last. Not only that, but there is zero motivation for the Fat chick to loose weight.

Why don't you collect up your love beads and potpourri and find something constructive to do.

I enjoyed it. The single player ends just before the point where it feels tedious and the multiplayer is lots of fun even though there's only a handful of maps and classes - though, the game keeps you playing with weapon perk unlocks and armor unlocks you can get through in-game achievements. There's definitely a lot of potential for additional content with expansions and such as well.

If you're a fan of the table-top game or the universe really appeals to you (I'm the latter, the table-top costs too much and I don't know anyone who plays it anyway) then it's worth 50$. If your merely curious about it then wait till the game goes down to 30$.

All in all, I have tons of fun with it.

And no, EIRRMod. Unfortunately, there's no real RPG(lite, ish, etc) element there. I don't think it hurts the game that there's not though.

considering they also have the rights to dark mellenium. I doubt they want to overdo the rpg aspect of warhammer.

DoW2 had a RPG like progression to it's campaign mode and I really enjoyed it alot.

Relic can work wonders on the 40K Lore with items and story and thats fantastic. I enjoyed reading the descriptions they had on some of the weapons you could pick up and some of the bonuses those weapons got. Like Flamers that had a 20% chance to do X damage to all units in an area and did 60% more damage to orks. Followed by a description about some Guard captain cleansing a ork infested captain. Or a Space marine Armour piece that was gifted by another Chapter.

Even the shit that was cursed had nice lore to it.

Fixed. Oops.

You might could call it RPG lite... but I think that'd be dishonest. It's the same system MW2/Black Ops had, and I would hard pressed to consider either of them RPG-ish. There's no real role playing element in Space Marine, just a leveling/item unlock system.
