Check out this trailer or a movie they are making with actaul active duty navy seals. Real weapons, real tactics and it looks fucking bad ass. Here is the link and I'm definitely going to see this one in theaters.

I like how the entire premise of the film is that it's realistic, it has real soldiers as actors and a story based on real events.

and then when I see the trailer I realize it's just Hollywood fiction...

Sharks are not monsters Henley, they are cute, cuddly and misunderstood. They love humans. sometimes they love TOO much. They love people so much that sometimes their kisses separate people into two flailing pieces which are consumed by other sharks in a frenzy of peace and joy.

Demon posession is real and it's not funny, it's the creepiest thing you will ever experience.

I would also like to add I watch fox news everyday all day and will continue to watch it while being proud of that fact. I'm sure you enjoy your communist news network just as much.

Uncovered weapons submerged in water.

I don't relish the hours of cleaning that tech team had to do.

Also, Active duty? I don't know about you guys but if I was active duty SF and had a family there's no way you'd pay me to show my face in a movie.

I can understand if they used retired guys or guys on their way out, that's slightly less dangerous.

Well they're so badass they have explosive pants on to blow their enemies out of the water.

The trailer says the story is fictional.

Honestly it seems like a recruitment move by the military, and an obvious one at that. Doubt it will win any awards, but it still looks like a good way to spend 2 hours. Who doesn't want to see soldiers committing badassery?

I was with some SEALs in Iraq, I can tell you it wasnt that glamorous.

I guess they are still hashing up stories from pre 9/11 about going to some random country for 1-3 days and kicking butt and then leaving. Like Charlie Sheen did in Navy SEALS.

When in reality i think SF does like 6 month tours. But its mostly about public relations with the nationals followed by killing bad guys using god mode.
Afghanistan tours, i dont know anything about.
