i'm behind skaffa as nomination. as much as i hate playing him, it's not because of stupid retarded spam (cough nuggers) he just seems to know game very well and has good balance posts.

i wonder what qualifies him as balance lead. hmmmm

1: Played COH/EIR every day since 2006.
2: Top 10 COH leaderboards
3: Extensive amount of knowledge of game mechanics and balance
4: Knows how to employ this knowledge in game
5: Good teamplayer
6: Can write proper arguments
7: Knows how maps and map balance functions and is a known contributor to the mod
8: The last and most important one is that he plays all factions and has an unbiased opinion

Most EIR players fail the 8th test.

The amount of misinformation running through these forums baffles the mind.

FOR THE RECORD:

The balance team is a group of individuals that discuss balance and the required changes to achieve balance.
The Balance lead organizes this group of individuals and ensures the process is as productive as it can be. This can be very difficult with a large number of opinions.

When a consensus is reached, the information is passed on to the SDT. If the SDT approves the decisions, the changes are passed on to the coding team to amend.

The balance lead does not make the decisions, but his input is also used in the process.

I support skaffa's nomination. As much as he frankly pisses me off with his 3.0+ KDR companies, hes got enough knowledge of the game and how to employ units or abilities in X way to acheive proper descisions on balance. I also owe him for helping me out enough so I have even a remote chance of winning a game.

(Note to the trolls, a good many of my games have been lost from lackluster teams or errors on my part trying to do the tactically correct thing with no backup. Shitty KDR/WLRs? Hard to get good counts of either without playing w. butt buddies, exploits, or hiding behind smurfs.)

Afaik he's also been on the BT longer than anyone else, with the exception of maybe one or two other members. He has all the qualities you'd look for and want from a BTL. Congrats skaffa .
