Anyone know if you can negotiate a truce and THEN do either the stormcloak/imperial quests?

I haven't done neither of them so far (thieves guild and mage guild was fun though).

I was wondering if its impossible to do stormcloak/imperial after you negotiate a truce through the main quest, or if you can still do them later (doesn't make much sense if you could).

Can you still do the "negotiate a truce" part of the main quest after you have done either the legion or stormcloaks quest line?

What's the smartest way to go about this? I want to do both the truce quest and one of the civil war sides.

Truce?!? You can neg. A truce??!!! How?

I am assuming once you win the civil war the negotiation is unessesary because there wont be a "other side"

And yes you can continue doing the civil war after main quest is over, lol, do you really expect the truce to last forever considering how much they hate eachother?

But I do not know how the trading of cities goes for the civil war. That may change the questline but ultimately Im sure you get the same outcome which is victory for your side.
