Something we usually fail to consider is what the weapon is replacing.

Should for instance - g43s be cheaper or more expensive than something else (2 x mp44s) because the base pg rifle is shit?

A 2 man mp44 squad still has more firepower than a g43 squad, because at short range both the mp44 and the elite kar 98s are pwning face. And both unupgraded, the storm squad is still better.

I didn't include G43's on my list as they're one of the few (only?) long range weapon upgrades. Yes, they will suck at close range compared to MP44's, but they're superior at long range, even compared to the k98 elites, I believe.
